Welcome to Goat Karma, another one of those pretty pointless interwebspacethingies where I divulge possibly too much personal information. Goat Karma V2.5(or something) was all about looong boring blog entries. Goat Karma v3.0 (or GKOC: Goat Karma on Crack), is all about short snappy entries using tumblr to share photos/videos/audio/links and...stuff

Doune Castle:

Ok, 2nd attempt at developing a 5x4 negative!
This time I used a patterson 4 tank, and sipped the negative inside without an elastic band.
Problems this time (only two…woo, getting better!):
1.I don’t think I put enough chems in, although 600cc was enough in the other tank, I think the pattersons is larger, so as you can see, it seem to develop the top at a different rate and left it with a big contrasty top section!
2.I’m not transporting the negative from the kitchen to the bathroom anymore, it picks up dust just going those 10 paces. I’ll erect a hanging line in the kitchen instead!
Apart from the obvious flaw with the photo, I’m a bit disappointed with it. Waited ages for the sun to come out, but when the sun was there, tourists would turn up and walk into shot! Got bored of waiting and just took the photo when it was a bit dull, so it all looks a bit lifeless, although I think the larger neg with a 5x4 can really work well with brickwork!
As an aside, Doune Castle is famous for being that castle in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. You can even hire cocounut shells at castle entrance!!
Techy stuff:
Cambo SC 5x4, Ilford Delta 100, developed in Ilford DDX. Scanned with HP G4050 at 2400DPI (last time with 4800 DPI it ended up being 1.15GB..oops!).
